The home of the celebrated Turkish poet Tevfik Fikret (1867–1915), built in 1906, stands in the Aşiyan neighborhood of Istanbul's Beşiktaş district. It was converted into a museum in 1945, and signs identify it as Aşiyan Müzesi. Today it is a historic house museum, a building preserved for its link to the person who lived there, and it is owned by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
