More than 200,000 prints and drawings make up the Cabinet des estampes et des dessins, Strasbourg's municipal print room. Its holdings span the 14th to the 19th century and include woodcuts and lithographs as well as prints and drawings. Among the artists represented are Albrecht Dürer, Albrecht Altdorfer, Hans Baldung, Hendrik Goltzius, Antonio del Pollaiuolo, Honoré Daumier, Philip James de Loutherbourg and the Master of the Drapery Studies.
Wilhelm von Bode founded the collection in 1890 while rebuilding and reorganising the city's art collections. A major donation in 2019 added 33 drawings and five engravings by artists including Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Jacques Callot and Rembrandt.
The city's graphic art from 1870 onward is shown elsewhere, at the Musée d'art moderne et contemporain and the Tomi Ungerer Museum.
