Mounted specimens of the endangered white-eyed river martin, also known as the Princess Sirindhorn bird, are among the exhibits at this university museum. Founded in 1954, it is run by Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Science and occupies the Biology Building on the university's main campus in Bangkok.
Most of the displays, which focus mainly on animals, fill a single main hall. Separate rooms are given over to Thai turtles and softshells, to insects and to land snails.
The museum publishes the Natural History Journal of Chulalongkorn University and has partnered with the Smithsonian Institution Libraries since 1976.
