Two palaces in Zagreb's historic Gornji Grad district house the Croatian History Museum (Hrvatski povijesni muzej): the Vojković palace on Antun Gustav Matoš Street and the Ludovik Jelačić palace on Grič Street. Founded in 1846, the museum holds around 300,000 objects, divided into 17 collections.
Beyond its Zagreb palaces, the museum administers part of the Meštrović Pavilion and the Ivan Goran Kovačić Memorial Museum in Lukovdol.
