Design and the Atomium share a neighbourhood here: Design Museum Brussels stands in Heysel Park (Heizel Park), close to the landmark, and focuses on design works from the 20th and 21st centuries. Its exhibition space covers about 5,000 square metres.
The Atomium founded the museum in 2015, and until 2020 it was called the Art and Design Atomium Museum, or ADAM. In 2019 it welcomed more than 120,000 visitors.
