Ireland's main collection of material on the country's architecture is held at 45 Merrion Square in Dublin. The Irish Architectural Archive collects and preserves material of every kind relating to the architecture of Ireland and makes it available to the public. It works as both an archive and a museum, which makes it a natural destination for anyone researching or curious about Irish buildings.
Dr Edward McParland and Nicholas Robinson founded it in 1976 as the National Trust Archive. Today it is an independent private company with charitable status.
