A Korean pastor and an American biblical archaeologist founded this privately owned biblical history museum in 1998. Rev. Abraham Yoon-sik Park, senior pastor of Pyungkang Cheil Presbyterian Church and author of the History of Redemption Series, created it with Dr Kenneth Vine, a biblical archaeologist and former president of Loma Linda University in California. Signs may also give its other name, the Pyung Kang Biblical Archaeology Museum.
The museum stands beside Pyungkang Cheil Presbyterian Church in Oryu-dong, in Seoul's Guro-gu district.
