Danish theatre history is shown here inside a palace theatre itself. The Theatre Museum in the Court Theatre (Teatermuseet i Hofteatret) occupies the first floor above the Royal Stables at Christiansborg Palace on Slotsholmen. Its theatre building was designed by the architect Nicolas-Henri Jardin and is a listed monument on the register of Denmark's heritage agency.
Founded in 1912, the museum has a collection that traces Danish theatre from the 18th century to the present day.
