With 5,000 square metres of exhibition space, EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art (Espoon modernin taiteen museo in Finnish) is the largest museum in Finland. It stands in Espoo in southern Finland.
The permanent exhibition draws on the Saastamoinen Foundation Art Collection and fills about half of the museum. The rest is given over to changing exhibitions of Finnish and international art.
EMMA occupies part of the WeeGee house, a building complex named after the printing firm Weilin+Göös. The complex holds five museums in all, along with a modern art gallery, a media-art centre, a café, a museum shop and an art school. The Espoo Art Museum Foundation was set up in 2002, and the museum opened to visitors in 2006.
