A rare skeleton of the quagga, an extinct zebra, sits among the specimens of the Grant Museum of Zoology, alongside thylacine specimens, dodo bones and Blaschka glass models. Part of University College London, it is the last remaining university natural history museum in London, and its full name is the Grant Museum of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy.
Robert Edmond Grant founded the museum in 1828 as a teaching collection of zoological specimens and material for dissection. This makes it one of the oldest natural history collections in the UK.
