Founded in 1890, the Musée de minéralogie (Museum of Mineralogy) belongs to the University of Strasbourg and displays historical collections of minerals.
The museum is located in the university's Paleontology and Mineralogy faculty building. Its two rooms are in a building of the School and Observatory of Earth Sciences (EOST), which also houses the Laboratory of Hydrology and Geochemistry.
