Museum Correale

Set in an elegant 18th-century villa overlooking the Bay of Naples, Museum Correale offers a quieter, more intimate way to experience the art and history of Sorrento. Surrounded by citrus groves and gardens, it feels less like a formal institution and more like stepping into the home of a cultured family with extraordinary taste.

The museum was founded from the collection of the Correale brothers, who donated their palace and treasures to the city. Inside, room after room reveals paintings from the 17th to 19th centuries, fine furniture, clocks, porcelain, Venetian glass, and delicate examples of Neapolitan decorative arts. There is also an important group of archaeological finds and views of Naples and the surrounding landscape that connect the collection to the region beyond the villa walls.
