One of the largest contemporary art venues in Asia, Bangkok's Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is built around an extensive collection of work by Thai artists. Among the names represented are Thawan Duchanee, Hem Vejakorn, Chalermchai Kositpipat and Prateep Kochabua, which makes the museum well suited to visitors who want a broad look at Thai art rather than international contemporary work.
The museum is privately owned by the business executive Boonchai Bencharongkul, who founded it in 2012. It stands in Bangkok's Chatuchak district.
