Early trams, buses and motorcycles fill the halls of Kraków's Museum of Engineering and Technology, also known in English as the Museum of Municipal Engineering and signed in Polish as Muzeum Inżynierii i Techniki w Krakowie. The city founded it in 1998 to document and popularise the history of Kraków's urban engineering and transport, and of technological progress more broadly.
The museum occupies several buildings at ul. św. Wawrzyńca 15 in the historic Kazimierz district. Alongside the vehicles, the displays cover radios, industrial machinery and early means of production, with many educational aids and hands-on exhibits. It is especially popular with school groups, and adults find plenty to interest them too.
