The National Museum of the Resistance occupies the building where the photographs for the Faux Soir newspaper were produced during the German occupation of Belgium in World War II. Its displays trace the history of the Belgian Resistance and of the occupation itself.
Former members of the Independent Front, a faction within the Belgian Resistance, founded the museum in 1972. It stands at 14b rue Van Lint (Van Lintstraat) in the Cureghem district of Anderlecht, next to the Municipal Hall. In French it is the Musée national de la Résistance, and in Dutch the Nationaal Museum van de Weerstand.
