One of Northern Europe's most important collections of Danish and French art from the 19th and early 20th centuries is at Ordrupgaard, a state-owned art museum in Charlottenlund, Gentofte Municipality, north of Copenhagen. It stands near Jægersborg Dyrehave, whose name means deer park.
Wilhelm Hansen founded the museum in 1918. It suits visitors with a particular interest in Danish and French painting of that period.
