Founded in 1862, the University of Copenhagen Zoological Museum (Zoologisk Museum) is now part of the Natural History Museum of Denmark, which is affiliated with the University of Copenhagen. It no longer operates as a separate museum, and its public displays belong to the combined Natural History Museum. Research and storage facilities remain at its original location in Copenhagen.
