More than 200 interactive exhibits on science and technology make up the core of Questacon, which serves as Australia's National Science and Technology Centre. Its full name, Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre, reflects its status as a national museum, and it operates as an Australian government body.
Founded in 1986, the centre draws around half a million visitors a year. It is a popular destination for school excursions from across Australia, which makes it especially suited to school groups and younger learners. Questacon also hosts the Questacon Science Circus, a science outreach program.
