The apartment where August Strindberg (1849–1912) last lived now houses the Strindberg Museum (Strindbergsmuseet), a biographical museum devoted to the Swedish writer. It occupies the building Strindberg nicknamed Blå tornet, the Blue Tower, at Drottninggatan 85, on the corner of Drottninggatan and Tegnérgatan in Norrmalm in central Stockholm.
Founded in 1973, the museum is a writer's museum set in the author's own final residence, which suits visitors interested in Strindberg and in Swedish literature.
