The only pan-Asian Pacific American community-based museum in the United States, the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience focuses on the culture, art and history of Asian Pacific Americans. It stands in Seattle's Chinatown-International District and takes its name from Wing Luke.
Founded in 1967, the museum has relocated twice, most recently in 2008, when it moved into the East Kong Yick Building. It is a Smithsonian Institution affiliate, and in 2013 it was recognized as one of two dozen affiliated areas of the U.S. National Park Service. It is also a cancellation location for the Passport to Your National Parks program, so collectors of the program's stamps can add one here.
