Art Gallery of Ontario

The Art Gallery of Ontario is one of the largest art museums in North America, on Dundas Street West in the Grange Park neighbourhood of downtown Toronto. Founded in 1900 as the Art Museum of Toronto, it took its present name in 1966, and its building was most recently transformed by a Frank Gehry expansion completed in 2008. Its permanent collection holds more than 120,000 works from the first century to the present day, including Canadian, First Nations, Inuit, African, European and Oceanic art.
