The largest private art museum in Hunan province, the Li Zijian Art Museum (李自健美术馆) has been open since 2016 in Changsha's Yuelu District. Its grounds cover about 120,000 square metres, with around 25,000 square metres of buildings, and it sits beside Yanghu Wetland Park and the Xiangjiang New Area Planning Exhibition Hall.
The museum is organised into distinct halls, each with its own focus. The Li Zijian Oil Painting Exhibition Hall carries the museum's name, and the Chen Xichuan Sketch Exhibition Hall is devoted to sketches. The Venerable Master Hsing Yun One-stroke Calligraphy Exhibition Hall presents calligraphy, and a fourth space, the Water Music Hall, completes the complex. Together they suit visitors interested in oil painting, drawing and Chinese calligraphy.
