The first branch of Madame Tussauds to open in Asia, this wax museum opened in 2000 and sits inside the Peak Tower on Hong Kong Island.
Its roughly 100 wax figures lean strongly toward Asian personalities, and sixteen of them come from Hong Kong itself. That local and regional emphasis sets it apart and makes it a good fit for visitors with an interest in Asian public figures.
The figures are grouped into themed zones. Hong Kong Glamour gathers figures tied to the city, Music Icons is devoted to singers and musicians, and Historical and National Heroes covers figures from the past. The Champions and World Premiere round out the arrangement.
