Built around reports from the United States National Academies, the Marian Koshland Science Museum presented current scientific issues that matter for national and global public policy. Its exhibits explained modern science in an accessible way, aimed at the general public rather than specialists.
Named after Marian E. Koshland, the museum opened in 2004 on E Street NW in Washington, D.C. It carried this name until 2017, when the U.S. National Academy of Sciences replaced it with LabX, the Academy's public engagement testbed.
