Two galleries 150 metres apart make up QAGOMA, Queensland's premier institution for the visual arts: the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and its neighbour, the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). Both stand within the Queensland Cultural Centre at South Bank in Brisbane.
The collection covers historical and contemporary Australian art. QAGOMA is also a leading institution in the Asia-Pacific, holding a significant collection built through the exhibition the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art. It suits visitors interested in Australian art across periods and in contemporary art from the wider region.
