Caricatures and ceramics by Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro (1846–1905) are the focus of this Lisbon museum, which is devoted entirely to the life and work of that one artist. A municipal museum run by the city, the Museu Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro shows many of his collections in both forms, so his caricatures and his ceramics can be seen side by side. The building was designed by the architect Álvaro Augusto Machado.
