St. Salvator's Cathedral, the Roman Catholic cathedral of Bruges, carries a double dedication: to the risen Saviour, the Verrezen Zaligmaker in Dutch, and to Saint Donatius of Reims. This is why it is also called the Cathedral of the Saviour and St. Donat. Local signs give its Dutch name, Sint-Salvatorskathedraal.
Its foundation is recorded as 1275. The building combines Gothic architecture with Gothic Revival and Romanesque Revival elements. It is both a cathedral and a museum, and it is a protected monument.
