The Belgrade City Museum (Muzej Grada Beograda) operates eight other institutions alongside its own collection. They range from the Archaeological Site Vinča and Princess Ljubica's Residence to the Banjica Concentration Camp Museum. The others are the Ivo Andrić Museum, the Paja Jovanović Museum, the Jovan Cvijić Museum, the Collection of Icons Sekulić and the Zemun Museum.
The museum's art holdings number more than 2,500 paintings, prints, watercolours and drawings. Serbian painting is especially well represented, with numerous works by Paja Jovanović, Sava Šumanović, Uroš Predić, Nadežda Petrović and Petar Lubarda, among others. The collection also includes paintings and prints by foreign artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Miklós Barabás and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot.
Founded in 1903, the museum suits visitors with an interest in Serbian art and those curious about the varied places connected with the city's past.
