A contemplative space overlooking the Water Mirror Garden sits at the centre of the D. T. Suzuki Museum (鈴木大拙館, Suzuki Daisetsu Kan), a building by the architect Yoshio Taniguchi in Kanazawa. The museum is devoted to the life, writings and ideas of D. T. Suzuki, the Buddhist philosopher who was born in the city.
Opened in 2011, it is a biographical museum focused on one thinker, so it suits visitors interested in Suzuki's philosophy, in Buddhist thought, or in Taniguchi's architecture.
