Set in the grounds of the former Páva Street Synagogue, a building completed in the 1920s, the Holocaust Memorial Center (Holokauszt Emlékközpont) serves as both a history museum and a memorial to the Hungarian Jews murdered in the Holocaust. It was founded in 2004 and stands at 39 Páva Utca in Budapest.
The museum's focus is the fate of Hungary's Jews, but it also addresses the discrimination against and killing of Romani people, homosexuals and disabled people.
