Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai

Set within People's Park, the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai (上海当代艺术馆, MoCA Shanghai) devotes itself to contemporary art at the city's civic centre. The park lies north of People's Square, the site of a former racecourse that now holds Shanghai's central administrative building and several of its museums. The museum's neighbours include the Municipal Government Headquarters, the Shanghai Grand Theatre, the Shanghai Art Museum and the Shanghai Museum, so it sits within walking distance of the city's other major cultural institutions.
