Le Corbusier designed this building himself to display his own works of art, creating what was meant to be an ideal setting for them. The Pavillon Le Corbusier stands at Zürichhorn in the Seefeld district of Zurich and is an art museum devoted to the French-Swiss architect.
The museum grew from a vision Heidi Weber had in 1960, and it dates from 1967. For many years it was known as the Centre Le Corbusier or the Heidi Weber Museum, names that may still appear in older references. In April 2014 the building and museum passed to the city of Zurich, and they took their current name in May 2016.
