St. Martin's croissants, the Poznań pastry known locally as rogale świętomarcińskie, are the sole subject of the Rogalowe Muzeum Poznania, the name visitors see at 41 Stary Rynek. The museum is devoted to a baking tradition the sources date back about 150 years. Its building is a historic house listed as an immovable monument in Poland.
Visits are interactive and built around a show in which visitors learn how a croissant is made according to the original recipe. The museum also presents Poznań's culture and history through what it considers the city's most characteristic elements: the croissants, the Poznań dialect and the goats on the Town Hall tower. It suits visitors who prefer a hands-on introduction to local food and customs. Szymon Walter founded the museum in 2014.
