Gifts presented to the President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh become property of the state, and the Toshakhana (তোষাখানা) is the specialized treasury that holds them. It forms part of Bangabhaban, the presidential palace in Dhaka.
Not all of the collection stays at the palace. Several items are kept at the National Museum and at the Toshakhana Museum, which was built in 2018 to house part of these state gifts.
