A former grain warehouse in Trondheim houses Rockheim, Norway's national museum for popular music. Its official Norwegian name, Det nasjonale opplevelsessenteret for pop og rock, translates as the National Discovery Centre for Pop and Rock. The museum covers Norwegian popular music from the 1950s to the present.
Rockheim opened in 2010 and is part of Sør-Trøndelag Museums, a regional museum organisation. Since 2011 it has chosen musicians and groups for the Rockheim Hall of Fame, which honours figures from the country's pop and rock history.
