Turjak Palace, at Gosposka ulica 15 (Gentry Street) in the centre of Ljubljana, is home to the City Museum of Ljubljana (Mestni muzej Ljubljana), which was founded in 1935.
Much of the museum's work is aimed at young people. It runs educational activities for children and students aged 5 to 18, and its itinerant museum groups bring the museum to hospital schools, schools for learners with special needs and younger pupils at remote schools around Ljubljana. That focus makes it especially suited to school groups and visitors with children.
