Known to the National Intelligence Directorate (DINA) by the code name Yucatán, the building at Londres 38 in downtown Santiago served as a detention and torture center for opponents of Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship.
Established as a history museum in 2009, the former clandestine center is protected as a Historical Monument of Chile.
